As the country gathered to honour Remembrance Day, BigParking proudly partnered with Worcester City Council to ensure the smooth running and safety of the city's remembrance parades.
With a significant turnout expected for three separate Rememberance Parades, BigParking provided a comprehensive suite of support services including Road Closures, Level 2 Stewarding, SIA-Certified Security, Traffic Management, On-Site Chapter 8 Compliant Signage, Control Room Coordination, and representation at the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) meetings.
Ensuring Safe and Respectful Remembrance Parades
With Worcester’s streets lined with residents, veterans, and families paying tribute, effective traffic and crowd control was essential.
BigParking implemented a series of carefully planned road closures, enabling processions to proceed uninterrupted and attendees to pay their respects in a safe environment. Alongside road closures, strategically placed signage guided attendees and diverted traffic to ease congestion around the parade routes.
Our Level 2 stewards and SIA-certified security personnel ensured that the event maintained the decorum and respect fitting of the occasion. Positioned along the parade route, our stewards assisted with crowd management and offered a welcoming presence, guiding attendees, and answering queries.
Meanwhile, our security team maintained a vigilant watch to ensure the safety of all attendees, adding an extra layer of reassurance to this high-profile event.
Control Room Presence and Safety Advisory Group Coordination
BigParking’s (Level 4) control room team played a vital role in real-time event management, coordinating our stewards, security personnel, and road traffic teams. This coordination allowed us to respond promptly to any incidents, helping the event progress smoothly.
Our representation within Worcester’s Safety Advisory Group (SAG) ensured every measure was planned and executed in line with the council's safety requirements, upholding public safety standards at every level.
