Murrayfield Stadium is a rugby union stadium situated in the Murrayfield district of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Owned by the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU), which also has its headquarters there, it serves as the national stadium for Scotland's rugby union team. With a seating capacity of 67,144, it stands as the largest stadium in Scotland, the fifth largest in the United Kingdom, and the twenty-second largest in Europe.
The stadium officially opened on 21 April 1925 with a match between Scotland and England, which Scotland won, securing a Grand Slam. Murrayfield hosts most of Scotland's home test matches, the Scottish Hydro Electric Cup final, as well as URC and European Rugby Champions Cup fixtures.
Primarily a rugby union venue, Murrayfield has also hosted American football, rugby league, and association football matches, along with numerous music concerts. In 2025 Murrayfield will host the Reunion tour for the British band, Oasis.
Currently, it is known as Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium due to sponsorship.
