Home Park, located in Plymouth, England, is a football stadium that has been
the home of EFL Championship club Plymouth Argyle since 1901.

The stadium underwent significant development in the 1920s and 1930s but
suffered extensive damage during World War II. It reopened for the
resumption of the Football League in 1945 and saw further improvements in
the 1950s, including the installation of floodlights and a new double-decker
grandstand.

The ground remained largely unchanged until 2001, when the
construction of three new all-seater stands began. By the summer of 2007,
temporary measures made the stadium fully seated, and in 2019, the
Mayflower Grandstand, the oldest part of the ground, was redeveloped.

Home Park's record attendance was set in 1936 when 43,596 spectators
watched a Second Division match between Plymouth Argyle and Aston Villa.

The highest average attendance for a single season was 23,290 during the
1946–47 season. In December 2009, the stadium was included in England's
bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Over the years, Home Park has hosted
England youth internationals and a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup match between
Saint-Étienne and Manchester United in 1977. It has also been a venue for
rugby union, athletics, and live music, with performances by Elton John,
George Michael, and Rod Stewart.

The Mayflower Stand, also known as the Grandstand, fully reopened on
January 1, 2020, after a significant refurbishment. The other three stands, built
in 2001, are similar in design and connected at the corners.

The Devonport End is home to the club's most vocal supporters. The
Lyndhurst Stand, the largest of the three, accommodates about 7,000
spectators, including the corners. The West Corner is designated for families,
while the East corner is known as the Zoo Corner. The Barn Park End hosts
away supporters and can hold about 3,000 spectators, with the standard
allocation for visiting clubs at 1,300, increased as needed.

All three stands offer good views and standard football stadium facilities,
including concourses, merchandise stands, and food and drink outlets. The
pitch measures approximately 100 meters (109 yards) long by 66 meters (72
yards) wide, with some run-off space on each side. The ground also has rain
and frost covers to protect the pitch during winter.
