Originally built for the London 2012 Olympics, the former Olympic Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park now serves as the home of Premier League club West Ham United and UK Athletics.

Construction began in May 2008 and was completed by March 2011, with the stadium hosting its first public event in March 2012. During the Olympics and Paralympics, it welcomed 80,000 visitors daily. In 2013, West Ham United secured a 99-year tenancy, and the stadium was transformed into a UEFA Category 4 venue with a capacity of 66,000 spectators.

The versatile venue has hosted events such as the Rugby World Cup, international and domestic rugby, motorsports, and the first Major League Baseball games in Europe, alongside concerts by top artists like the Rolling Stones, Muse, and Foo Fighters.
